Andrew Barchet
is a filmmaker and photographer from Cleveland, Ohio, currently based in Columbus. As a student at The Ohio State University, Andrew found his love for filmmaking while assisting his peers with their own passion projects. He immediately felt at home while on set, and decided to take the leap and commit to his passion. He is set to graduate in the Spring of 27’ with a B.A. in Moving Image Production, and a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance Specialized).
Andrew is most interested in both narrative and documentary filmmaking, with his eyes set on cinematography, lighting, and coloring. He has goals to continually explore different ways to create engaging images and videos through his evolving knowledge of lighting and composing a shot. This extends to his photography work, in which he strives to serve both a creative and professional client base to deliver highly creative/high quality images. He also loves the opportunity to express himself in front of the camera in any manner of role.
Extending outside personal projects, Andrew works as a video intern for Ohio State Extension, where he shoots and edits agriculture focused videos across the state. He also works as a TV production assistant for WOSU, contributing to professional productions affiliated with NPR and PBS.
Andrew is proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop. He aims to continue enhancing his abilities in After Effects and Illustrator. He owns and shoots on Panasonic’s Lumix series, but has experience shooting Sony as well.
